A KAIROS event

Now Hiring: Adults

A four-hour working event that deals head-on with what employers say is wearing them out: immaturity, weak communication and work that stops when it gets hard. One day, one room, two tracks. Employers learn to hire for it and raise people out of it. Young adults learn what employers look for and how to become that person.

Two doors

Which one is yours?

Everyone shares the opening, the critical-thinking session and the closing, so each side hears how the other sees the problem. In the middle of the day you split into your own room.

Door one

For employers and leaders

Managers, business leaders and owners who are tired of managing behavior they never hired for.

  • Hire better. Interview questions and work samples that show reasoning and effort, not polish.
  • Hold the line. Notice, say it, say what happens next, with scripts for the four patterns.
  • Write your standard. Draft your team's communication standard and remote norms in the room.
  • Define done. Turn effort into something you can see, measure and weigh.

You leave with: a written team standard, a work sample for one role, the B.A.R. conversation job aid, the Executive calibration check and the Employer Edition attendee guide.

Door two

For young adults and parents

Young adults, new hires and job seekers, and the parents who want to help without doing it for them.

  • See what employers see. The four patterns, the interview tells and what a manager is protecting.
  • Practice the hard messages. Role-play the late deliverable, the sting of feedback and the mistake you found.
  • Start your record. Begin a 30-day Steel Spine challenge with a log you can show.
  • Turn it into an answer. Build a true story for "tell me about a time you worked hard."

You leave with: a personal communication standard, a started 30-day log, interview answers, a first-90-days plan and the Individual Edition attendee guide.

Not sure? A parent who also manages people may choose either room, and you can switch tracks at the first break. Parents who buy the class for a young adult register the young adult on the Individual track.

The elephant in the room

Said plainly, and sourced

Employers describe the same thing again and again: people who look prepared and interview well, then answer feedback with defensiveness, blame the schedule for missed deadlines and wait to be rescued from small problems. We call the cause what it is, psychological and emotional immaturity at work, and we treat it as a set of behaviors that can be seen, named and changed.

We are also careful. The best-supported finding is that young people now get far less early practice with responsibility than earlier cohorts. Where evidence is mixed, we say so, and every figure in the attendee guide comes with its source and where it stops. We do not claim a whole generation is broken, and we do not let leaders off the hook either: managers promoted without preparation show the same patterns.

No politics, no labels, no excuses. Observable behavior, root cause, standards, practice and accountability.

The day

Four hours, five parts

Each part has a short teaching segment, a working segment and a closing question you answer in your guide. Bring a pen.

Built on KAIROS

The six things a résumé cannot show

Ownership, Initiative, Follow-Through, Interest, Presence and Fear. They give everyone in the room one vocabulary for behavior.

This event is part of KAIROS Behavioral Intelligence. In Part 5 you run the KAIROS diagnostic on a real situation: describe it in two or three sentences, and the engine reads it against the six, names the behavior most at risk and suggests a next step. It is an aid for your own thinking, not a verdict about any person, and we do not save what you type into the free engine.

What we teach is how to look for these behaviors. It is not a screening tool, and we do not sell one in the room. Employers who want a structured read before an offer can ask about KAIROS Hire afterward, and organizations that want help rolling the standards out to a larger team can ask about an invitation-only client portal that holds their event materials.

Questions

Before you register

Can my young adult or teenager attend?

Yes. Attendees under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian, who confirms consent on the form. Parents are welcome to attend with them. The worksheets are written to be done by the attendee alone first and discussed afterward.

What if I do not want to be filmed?

Choose that option when you register, or tell the host at check-in. You will be seated or framed where you are not on camera.

Can I switch tracks?

Yes, at the first break. A parent who also manages people may choose either room.

Will there be a replay?

Yes. Replay purchasers receive the full recording, their attendee guide and the worksheets in an event account, with access instructions in the confirmation email.

Is this a screening tool or a sales pitch?

No. The day teaches what to look for and how to build it. KAIROS is how we organize the behaviors, and you will use the free diagnostic once, on a situation of your choosing.

Is this legal advice?

No. Where the guide touches on documentation, work samples or policy, it tells you to have your own counsel or HR advisor review it before you use it.
